Samsung NX300 firmware update 1.20 has been released for download, in order to fix multiple bugs and add several features to the mirrorless camera.
Samsung has introduced the NX300 digital camera before the Consumer Electronics Show 2013 (CES). The mirrorless shooter is compatible with all NX mount lenses and it captures images using a 20.3-megapixel CMOS image sensor.

People who have purchased the device should be aware that firmware update 1.20 has just been pushed by Samsung. It can be downloaded right now by all users and it brings a lot of improvements when compared to the previous version.
Samsung NX300 firmware update 1.20 adds multitouch gestures support, such as pinch-to-zoom photos, for the 3.3-inch AMOLED 800 x 480 touchscreen, as well as double-tap to zoom. Moreover, the auto-rotate option is now enabled and an on/off menu for the touchscreen is also available now.

The South Korea-based company has also added a minimum shutter speed function in P or A modes, autofocus point movement without using touch autofocus function, while photographers will be happy to hear that they can turn off guide messages when changing modes.
Other new features include a menu for adjusting mic sensitivity and an off switch for Menu and FN buttons, when using the camera’s display mode. Meanwhile, several things have been improved, such as autofocus and SD card support.

Samsung claims that it has finally fixed the bug causing exposure errors when in SmartRange+ mode. Another bug causing videos not to play sounds at the end of a film on PCs has also been repaired.
The company has revealed that other smaller problems have been fixed, in order to improve general performance and the user experience.
