DxO Labs has announced the latest version of its RAW processing and image-editing software, called Optics Pro. The DxO Optics Pro 10 software is now available alongside the FilmPack 5 and ViewPoint 2.5 programs.
Photographers looking for an alternative to Adobe Lightroom should definitely give DxO Optics Pro a try. This powerful image-processing program has reached version 10, which brings new features to the table, while improving some of its existing tools.
DxO Optics Pro 10 can be purchased right now and it is available at a special price tag alongside FilmPack 5 and ViewPoint 2.5 until the end of November 2014.
DxO Labs announces and releases DxO Optics Pro 10 with new ClearView tool
One of the most important additions to DxO Optics Pro 10 is called ClearView. It allows photographers to remove haze from their photos, which is usually common in landscape photography.
This tool is capable of analyzing the color of individual pixels and will determine how to properly enhance the contrast in specific parts of a shot. Beside removing haze, it can also get rid of smog, which is found in cityscapes, street photography, and other urban photography types.
The developer says that editors will be able to get rid of faded colors with a single click, courtesy of the aforementioned ClearView tool.
Make your photos sharper, less noisier using DxO Optics Pro 10
Other improvements offered by DxO Optics Pro 10 include a new version of the PRIME engine, which is even better at reducing noise. On top of all that, the speed of the engine has been enhanced, too, meaning that it will process files four times faster than before.
Contrast, one of the most important things in a photo, can be further improved using Smart Lighting. This tool is also capable of adapting to the colors, shadows, and textures of a photo, in order to provide the best-looking shot possible.
On the other hand, image sharpness is improved using the Lens Softness feature, which should deliver crisp and clear photos with ease.
Special offer now available for the Optics Pro, FilmPack, and ViewPoint bundle
DxO Labs has also introduced ViewPoint 2.5 and FilmPack 5, the former which corrects the geometrical aspect of a photo and the latter which adds amazing effects to your shots.
Each is available for $79, while Optics Pro 10 costs $129. However, a special bundle, consisting of the three programs, can be acquired for only $189 until November 25, 2014.
It is worth noting that the Elite Edition of DxO Optics Pro 10 costs $199 and the DxO FilmPack 5 costs $129, respectively. As a result, the price of the Elite Edition bundle stands at $289.
