CP+ 2015 recap: the best cameras and lenses to come out of the event
The first major company to announce new products in February 2015 was Olympus. The company introduced the new E-M5 Mark II, which shoots 40-megapixel photos in high-res mode as well as the 14-150mm f/4-5.6 II lens for Micro Four Thirds cameras and the Air A01 lens-style interchangeable lens camera.
Ricoh confirmed the development of a full frame DSLR, while announcing the 70-200mm f/2.8ED DC AW and 150-450mm f/4.5-5.6ED DC AW lenses for K-mount cameras. In addition, the K-S2 DSLR was unveiled as the world’s smallest weathersealed DSLR along with the 18-50mm f/4-5.6 DC WR RE lens.
Canon introduced its first big-megapixel DSLRs, called 5DS and 5DS R
Sigma announced a new Art-series lens in the body of the 24mm f/1.4 DG HSM wide-angle optic for Canon and Nikon full frame cameras.
Nikon launched a special edition of the D810, called D810A, which was designed for astrophotographers.
Panasonic could not have stood aside to watch while others steal the spotlights, so it unveiled the 30mm f/2.8 Macro and 42.5mm f/1.7 lenses for Micro Four Thirds cameras.

On the rumor mill side, Canon will allegedly refer to the 5D Mark III replacement as 5D X. However, the DSLR will record 4K videos regardless of its name and it is coming this August. On the other hand, the 1D X Mark II is coming in 2016.
It was a quiet month for Sony fans, as the company made no single official announcement. However, the company will announce new products soon. The A5 entry-level full frame mirrorless camera will become official in March, while the A7000 APS-C mirrorless camera is also coming within a few weeks.
