After having their official press photos leaked on the web, the specs of the upcoming Sony cameras were revealed by an inside source.
Sony will launch two new cameras and three new lenses soon. Previously, it was believed that the announcement will be made during the February 20th PlayStation event.
However, the latest information suggests that the company will hold a separate press event on February 25th, 2013, in order to reveal its new digital imaging products, whose pictures were already leaked online.
Sony A58 and NEX-3N will finally become official next week
According to an inside source, the Sony Alpha SLT-A58 will feature a 20-megapixel Exmor APS-C image sensor and an OLED viewfinder with 100 percent coverage. The APS-C shooter will be powered by a BIONZ processor and will come packed with burst mode support of 8 frames per second and an ISO range between 100 and 16,000.
Other details about the Sony A58 are the addition of Sweep Panorama and Clear Image Zoom features. The camera will be bundled with the new 18-55mm lens and will be available for a price around $600.
Moving on to the Sony NEX-3N, it was confirmed that the shooter will feature the same 16-megapixel Exmor APS-C image sensor found in the NEX-F3, tilting LCD display, built-in flash, an electronic zoom lever, burst mode of 4fps, and an ISO range between 200 and 16,000.
The mirrorless camera will be powered by the same BIONZ processor found in the SLT-A58. It will be released in Black and Silver flavors, paired with a 16-50mm lens for price around $500.
