Canon will hold a special product announcement event on May 31 in the Netherlands. Sources have reported this fact and they have also said that the product in question is the EOS 70D, while some lenses and PowerShot cameras might show up, too.

Since no official confirmation has arrived, sources are still speculating and two people have revealed that Canon representatives are confirming that the company will finally introduce the EF 200-400mm f/4L IS 1.4x lens in May.
This optic has been caught in action numerous times. It has even been rumored more times than we have actually seen it.
Photographers who managed to get their hands on it have reported that the lens is ready for action and that it is beyond their comprehension why the company keeps delaying it.

The exact date is not known yet, but one report about a Canon event refers to May 31. The lens could be revealed on May 14, but photographers who want to renew their glass should not hold their breath over it.
