Canon will allegedly introduce the PowerShot G9 X Mark II premium compact camera in the near future, just in the time for CES 2017.
The first major event of any given year is the Consumer Electronics Show, which usually opens its doors during the first week of the year. In 2017, it is scheduled to begin on January 5 and to close its doors on January 8.
Trusted sources are reporting that the Canon PowerShot G9 X Mark II camera will be officially unveiled before the start of the event. Moreover, it will not come alone as it will be accompanied by multiple EOS Rebel DSLRs as well as by the PowerShot SX70 HS, the latter being previously rumored to employ a 100x optical zoom lens.
Canon PowerShot G9 X Mark II premium compact camera coming soon
If you are a Canon fan, then you have plenty of reasons to be excited for 2017 to begin. Reliable insiders are reporting that the company will introduce plenty of devices right before CES 2017, which is just around the corner.
We feel that it is unlikely for the manufacturer to make a move before the end of 2016, so it will likely wait for this year to conclude, for people to celebrate the New Year, and only then to reveal its new products.
For some reason, it appears that the star of the show will be the Canon PowerShot G9 X Mark II. Not much is known about the device other than its built-in WiFi technology. This feature is also available in the original G9 X, so we do not expect to see many changes compared to its predecessor.
The G9 X was released in all-black and silver-brown color choices and, by the looks of it, the same thing will apply to the new model. As stated above, the announcement is happening soon, so stay tuned to learn everything about it, including release date and price details.
New EOS Rebels and PowerShot SX70 set for upcoming launch, too
Gossip talks are stating that Canon will also launch new EOS Rebels and another compact camera. One Rebel should be the replacement to the 100D / SL1, which is still the world’s smallest DSLR camera, while the others could be the 750D and 760D successors. It is unclear whether the company will decided to launch two versions or just one model to replace both.
Almost two years have passed since the first mentions of the PowerShot SX70 HS. This compact camera is supposed to replace the PowerShot SX60 HS and it will do so by featuring an impressive 100x optical zoom lens.
Unfortunately, we have not heard anything about the 100x zoom lens lately. The SX60 HS offers a 65x zoom lens, so it would be nice for someone to challenge the current superzoom king: Nikon’s Coolpix P900 and its 83x optical zoom lens.
Whatever happens, we will hear more about it shortly, therefore you should stay tuned to Camyx for more!
